The Magical Midlife of Molly Thorn: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel

Cover of The Magical Midlife of Molly Thorn by Lisa Wells

★★★★★ It’s here. Book Two of the hilarious Magical Midlife Moonlighting Series. If you’ve not yet read book one, The Undead Life of Molly Thorn, go grab it first.

Unceremoniously whisked away from Harmony’s epic showdown between the Mythicals and Slayers, hot-flashing, brain-glitching, middle-aged Molly Thorn decides it’s time to reenter the dating world. But first, she needs to figure out which type of man wets her dehydrated whistle.

Thankfully, her boss the Grim Reaper, has offered to take her on a couple of practice dates to work out some of her memory kinks before she does it for real. What could possibly go wrong with this plan?

Plenty! That’s how much can go wrong when the Grim dates his assistant. So wrong the Grim is placed on administrative leave. A leave he may never be allowed to return from.

To make matters worse, Molly is informed by the new interim Grim if her boss goes, so does her undead status.

Rude.

Another adventure of complicated afterlife with Molly Thorn

As soon as I finished the Magical Midlife Moonlighting book #1 I immediately had to have more! Book #2 “The Magical Midlife of Molly Thorn” was just as exciting, steamy, suspenseful and fun as the first book in the series! Molly Continues to find herself in complicated situations that are just SO her! I enjoyed every page, and I cannot wait till October when the next installment of her journey comes out!

More fun than the first book!

Oh boy! I thought the first book was fun and exciting, author Lisa Wells just upped the excitement in The Magical Midlife of Molly Thorn to a higher level. This second book in the series picks right up where the previous book left off. Things are getting even more interesting between Molly and X as she tries dating. Not knowing what kind of man she is looking for, X offers to help her out to find out where her tastes run.

And whoopsie! Apparently Grims are not supposed to date their assistants because there are consequences to his actions. YIKES! It’s all around fun as Molly sorts out some truths she learns about X, takes her Godmother final exam, deals with a few unsavory characters. That is just the beginning of the chaos that ensue and it all ends with a Holy Cow moment when Molly… Nope! Not going to tell you what happens but I will say it’s a doozy that I did not see it coming. And of course, it ends on an edge of your seat cliffy! Really hoping I don’t have too wait to long to find out what happens next.

I received this book from BookSirens. I was not compensated for the book other than the entertainment it provided. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Interesting premise

I enjoyed this book, Molly Thorn is the Grim Reaper’s assistant, but, while she doesn’t remember her past life, she remembers her age, even though she is currently trapped in the body of a 45 year old. Which, let’s face it, is probably exactly how so many of us feel.

So, while the main character combines the angst of youth with the hot flashes and body issues of a much older woman, the story is rounded out with a cadre of fairy godmothers, fairy godfathers and other magical misfits who are all hilarious.

I am curious to see where the author takes us in the next adventure.

Such a Fun Read

OMG, I couldn’t put this down. The whole crew is still here all participating in delightful, madcap mayhem. Absolutely so much happens in this second book. Molly really ups her game, becoming a more well developed personality. I just love X. Wouldn’t mind meeting him. I hope Lisa Wells hurries with book three, because I’m on pins and needles to find out what happens.

Great

Molly’s magical life continues in this second book in a trilogy. As Molly struggles with the demands of being X’s assistant, her incomplete memories, learning to be a part time fairy godmother and an invasion of Slayers, she is drawn into the political intrigues of the Grim. Rules will be broken and secrets revealed as Molly tries to navigate a minefield of duties. Can’t wait for the conclusion in book three. Yes, another cliffhanger ending!

Grim and the Fairy Godmother Date!?!

Loved the first book in the series and Magical Midlife of Molly Thorn keeps the fast paced humor and sexy times moving forward. I think Molly and X have mastered the art of dating roll play! I got slightly confused with Bones, but loved how the author Lisa Wells tied up the ending. I can hardly wait to see how Molly handles her new job in Book 3.

Wonderful read

This book picks up literally right after The Undead Life of Molly Thorn. And is just as fantastic. All the lovable hysterical crew are back. Plus, I can’t believe I’m saying this because of my love for vampires, but I have to add Bones to my top 5 most despicable.

I must say a few things. Molly’s love of all things Hostess is so very priceless. To Molly and any women out there who have had earthquake inducing O’s…..I envy you. And I’m so glad the Judge did what he did to Bones. I never saw it coming.

This book and book 1 and definitely one click worthy! 100%
