The Impromptu Nanny Contract: A Small Town Romantic Comedy

Cover of The Temporary Nanny Contract by Lisa Wells

Mistletoe and Merry Mayhem: Love’s the Perfect Holiday Plot Twist!

Macalister Forest: award-winning mystery author by day, clueless single dad by—well—all the time. This Christmas, he’s trading his typewriter for tinsel and taking his spitfire daughter, Josi, to the ultimate winter wonderland: Sugar Plum, Georgia, where even the cottages have their own origin stories. But before you can say ‘Jingle Bells,’ Mac realizes he’s in way over his Santa hat and needs a nanny, stat.

Wynter Sullivan, New York City’s real estate queen, thought her biggest holiday hurdle was snagging the coziest cottage south of the North Pole. Wrong. To seal the deal, she’s gotta go full Georgia peach and prove she’s a resident. How? By becoming a last-minute nanny, of course; except, surprise! Her new boss is Macalister, the same guy who still stars in her ‘what if’ fantasies from a sultry summer fling ages ago.

So, what’s on Josi’s letter to Santa? Let’s just say it throws Mac into a holiday tailspin that makes ugly Christmas sweaters look downright stylish. Trust Wynter with his daughter and his carefully guarded heart, or stick to writing mysteries and leave love to the professionals?

Tick-tock, Mac. The snow is falling, the cocoa is piping hot, and in Sugar Plum, this Christmas, all bets are off!

A New Take on a Miracle on 34 St

This book is a heartwarming and sweet story. The characters are likable, kind, loving, realistic and a joy to get to know. Josie is a precocious 5 year old who is instrumental in making this book so good. The storylines and the storytelling is well written and engaging with some unexpected events. I enjoyed this book so much with its original plot. There is Christmas magic in the story that enhanced the story.

I received this book as an ARC from Booksprout for my honest voluntary review.

We have our next Christmas movie right here!!!

First I must say, if this isn’t made into a Hallmark movie, the world just isn’t fair.

Wynter is a logical girl, she doesn’t let little things like love distract her. Macalister is a father that loves his little girl so much and wants the world for her. How their lives collide surround that little girl Josi is just amazing.

This story made me laugh, cry (sad and happy tears), but most of all, it made me FEEL something. A book that makes me feel is one I will always remember, and pstt hope to see as a Hallmark Holiday movie. 🙂

Must read if you love Christmas, love, and HEA’s.

Holiday must have!

What a lovely, heartwarming story! Sugar Plum is a magical Christmas town inhabited by true believers in the spirit of Christmas and of course, Santa. Macalister is a single dad raising a delightfully precocious daughter. Wynter is hired as a nanny for December. What occurs is a wonderful mix of quirky townsfolk, heated romantic thoughts and two people who love a little girl. Guaranteed to make you smile as it plucks your heartstrings and makes you believe in the powerful magic of Christmas.

A Christmas Gift

A fun, laugh out loud romantic comedy that was perfect to enjoy on a hot day in July!

So many lovable characters reside in Sugar Plum, GA, a small town near Savannah that thrives on Christmas! Like a blast from the past, Wynter Sullivan is amazed at the town and it residents. But she is determined to make this Christmas the “ bestest ever”, not for just Josi, her new charge, but for herself!

A wonderful book about discovering what is important in life, and maybe even a second chance at love!

I loved this book!

Heartwarming

This was my first book by this author. It was so cute and heartfelt. First I could not get over Josi she was so lovable and hilarious. She wanted a Christmas mom and got so much more.

What happens when your past showed up at your front door?

What happens when your lil girl asks for a Christmas mom?

Do you believe in Santa?

I highly recommend this book it’s a quick read.

So sweet!

This was the first PPN book I’ve read but I love Lisa Wells books and Christmas so I thought why not. I loved it so much I want to live in Sugar Plum!

Wynter is a real estate agent on a mission, Josi is presumably a brat on a mission and when their missions collide, what a twist it makes. And the poor “Lamborghini” is shocked, confused, angered and delighted to his core.

On a snarky note I am so glad Ridge did what he did to Wynter and was i.m.o., utterly embarrassed by Bunny. That made me smile ear to ear.

It really is a cute fun Christmas read and I recommend it no matter what time of year it is.

A fun laughable story!

The best of the series so far. Wynter Sullivan wants to flip Santa’s house in Sugar Plum. But she needs to be a resident of Sugar Plum first. Macalister Forest wants nothing more than a safe and loving relationship with his daughter, Josi: the darling of the story. As with stories of this type, the conflict stems from miscommunication. But, in this case, that predominantly happens internally for both Wynter and Macalister. Nothing a bit of Santa’s magic can’t fix. Aside from the references to Ridge, I enjoyed the story immensely. I hope you do as well.

Love Christmas Stories

I have been enjoying this little series. Each book has been so good and in book 6, we get Macalister and Wynter’s story. He’s a single day and a best selling author. Wynter is a real estate agent but when she finds a house she likes, it comes with conditions. She sort of fibs and takes a job as the nanny for Macalister’s little 5 year old girl, Josi!! I adored Josi and she brought the story to life. But seeing each other again after all this time could easily cause problems. Will these two be able to work out their differences before Christmas comes? And what will happen if anything finds out what Wynter really does for a living? Ms. Wells is a new author for me and she did her job by keeping me engrossed in the story. Be sure to get this and read it. It doesn’t even have to be Christmas time. It’s that good!

Magical

The Impromptu Nanny Contact is just plain charming. It’s a fairytale feel good romance full of Christmas magic with just a bit of angst. If it doesn’t lift your spirits I’m not sure what will. I dare you not to smile all the while as you read this book.
